  4. Hi All, I am looking for a clear photo of Tim Upson-Smith's Svoboda DK10 Tractor. Our photo of this tiny model is out of focus and we are looking or a better image. If you have one or know Tim, please let me know. John
  5. The San Jose club started in March 1964. Is that the oldest extant club?
  6. Jorge, Not to worry. The January/February issue might only be leaving the printers now. It should be in your mail box soon. John
  7. I'm working on the same kit. Nice job with that pesky seam around the collar.
  8. Hi All, I do not have enough images of this diorama for the contest issue of the Journal. If any of you have several high resolution images of this that I can use please PM me. Thank you, John
  9. Sorry, Steve. We have not changed our mind. I will email promptly. John
  10. Where's the like button? Are the white stripes done with a brush as they appear?
  11. We take photos of the winners from the judging sheets. So unfortunately we don't have a soft copy of anything that could be posted. The chapter, newsletter, etc awards are announced by the person at the podium at the time so there is no slide or text given to us to post. The Journal will have all that junk... eventually.
  12. I'm going to wait for the B. Hopefully that will not be far behind.
  13. Wow, Gil. That looks great.
  14. This looks great, Gil. I'm looking forward to seeing it complete.
  15. Nice work on the B-45! That kit is, er... large. I'm going to need a new curio should I ever get around to ruining, I mean, building mine.
  16. I'd love to see this stuff in 1/72 as well, but I have settled into 1/144 for all my launch vehicles. I am trying to imagine what I would have to do to my curio to add that 5' Saturn V! NewWare has some top notch 1/144 resin kits of all the Mercury launch vehicles and has just released a suite of Titan IIs, including the Gemini. Buy with confidence. His casting is perfect, he includes decals, and detailed instructions. Most importantly, unlike Dragon, his modes are well researched and very accurate. http://mek.kosmo.cz/newware/
  17. I'm looking forward to this one. Must be the Dutch version that has the big turret on it in the second photo.
  18. If I may add an additional rule number one - arrive early. The most productive time at the parks will be a couple hours after opening. Arrive before the gates open and have a plan on where you want to go and what you want to see. Do not just follow the crowd or wonder around looking doe what you want to do. The touring plans in the back of the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World are worth the price of the book. Follow them to the letter and you will be streets ahead.
  19. Yes, the spreadsheet! Every move is mapped out. Even in the off season Walt Disney world is not a place to take it easy- it is a place to be conquered. I pity the attendee that will attempt to brave the parks without some amount of research. Anything less than copy of the 2012 Unofficial Guide under one arm and "Lines" on the iPhone will surely end in tears. And just try to get a reservation to eat anywhere at this late date. We will be there for the entire 11 day window of the discounted rooms. It's not every trip you can stay at the Contemporary for so little.
  20. How many of you are finding you are going on a Disney vacation rather than to an IPMS convention? Most of my trips to Nats are solo, but since a trip to WDW is fairly rare, my whole family is coming along (literally, my entire family - if you ever wanted to wipe out the whole Heck clan, now is your chance). As we are all Disney park fans, this really changes the scope of the trip. In fact I often have to remind myself why we are going. My wife has a spreadsheet with all days planned from sun up to sun down, and alternate plans as well. One day I suddenly remembered the initial cause of the trip and I had to ask her to make a slot for me to take photos for the Journal. Also, as this is my son's first trip to WDW, I'm not likely to want to miss out on seeing his first experiences in the parks. Anyone else finding the focus of the trip has dramatically shifted? John
  21. Just got my F-94C kit today. I think I'll be ordering those True Details T-33 seats.
