This is the Tamiya 1/350 New Jersey. It is the late New Jersey with tomahawks and blackhawks.

Ok I am stepping well outside my comfort zone on this build. This will be only the third ship I have built. So I go and choose the New Jersey with after market PE set and metal barrels and wood deck on order. The first night's work.

She now has legs! Next is the prop and some fiddlely bits, then the build part will be done. After that a handful of decals, since I painted most of them on, and weathering.

Very good looking models there!

This paint scheme was used for a fleet week on the west coast. I used it because the kit decals are complete garbage.Yo ucould see individual ink dots that made up the decals!

Getting started...

The Sea Shadow Lockheed's Sea Shadow

The paint short comings will be fixed Thursday at lunch.

Started throwing paint tonight but ran out of RLM66, so had to stop throwing paint tonight as well...

The camo is now done... next to mask for numbers on the side then gloss coat and sludge

Got the shadow into the paint booth...

Ready for paint.

Painted and ready for weathering.

The Sea Shadow is now together. I am cleaning up seams now followed by several panels lines then paint. Might even get the first coat of paint on this weekend.

The two side panels are now done, rescribed and final pieces added. I have added some foam to the inside of the side panels to help close up nasty gaps on the underside of the kit. Should be closing her up this weekend.

Have the base coat on the model. Now need to come up with a way to make an all grey model look interesting...

Washed and have the base coat now on. Did find a couple areas I need to puddy.

Nope, not washed yet. That is this weekends project and get the base coat of paint on it. Also want to get the base coat of paint on my Star Destroyer this weekend. (see sci-fi section)
