Watching for your solution to the decals issue. Am in the first stages of imagineering a (CAD) conversion set to backdate the 1/72 RM BONE kit to a B-1A. NOTE: I built the 1/144 Academy B-1A (rough kit) and used their decals for the white jet. Maybe 1/48 and 1/72 are gonna require drafting a new set, with those as a reference? Now, if I can only accomplish enough honey-do's to justify the workbench time. Is it even possible...?

The Russian company Gran made these as the "S-200 Angara." Anybody got one they wanna trade/sell...? Thanx for looking!

Wow - great stuff here! This info is just what I needed. Otherwise, am planning to have a nurse standing inside the aft doorway, to hide the fact that I didn't do everything. Cheers!

Nice! Thanx for these. What were your search terms?

Thanx very much, Eric!

Another EVENT CALENDAR question: Our chapter (Black Hills Scale Modelers, 05-52) recently posted an event for early August. We were the primary sponsors and hosts of the 'Model Building' exhibit at the annual fair in our town and treat it as our annual contest/show. Is there a reason this event was not shown on the EVENT MAP, or was that just an oversight?

A very cool project here! Am currently knocking together the Academy 1/72 kit of this same creature, for a Korean War MASH look. Would like to pose the rear doors open, so assuming that you have much better references than I, A couple of questions on the most basic interior details: 1 - Was the floor wooden, or metal? 2 - What sort of fixtures would be mounted to receive stretcher-patients inside? Am assuming that the bench seats are stowed or removed? 3 - What color was the aft interior compartment painted - OD, or white, or maybe that light blue-green/teal color? Thanx for any suggestions.

It was a slow day.

Super stuff, Duke! Am inspired to maybe finish something...maybe...

Nice work on a fun kit! Here was mine, many years ago. The polished cowling was saved for the final step (of fuselage finishing) with masking for a black gloss coat and the old SNJ powdered aluminum. Very, very sensitive to handling, but it still looked OK here:

What Gil said - plus a suggestion: Many orgs that publish a newsletter, or magazine will do a year's-end recap issue, celebrating the various achievements, awards, changes, Hail-and-Farewell, Sawadee and maybe even a few obits. I recommend that the 'convention issue' of the IPMS-USA JOURNAL be morphed into that last one for the calendar year, since a printed mag will never beat the internet to the punch with the pix. The year's-end template would instead offer the Journal staff more time to collate and edit the convention pix & data, write up the respective Chapters/Members/Kits/Snuffalufagus Of the Year, a President's recap/forecast column, members' photo contest, funny stuff...I dunno. Finally, a standardized format for that particular issue could simplify the Journal crew's workload a bit, into the holiday season. What's not to love...?

Memories of New England when I wuz a kid. Very cool - love it - !!!

Loving this -great work! I've got his kit, working its way to the top of the stash, for when my brother retires from flying the big freight. He started out in VP-19, depicted on the decal sheet as the 'Milpitas War Chicken.' Still deciding whether to apply the kit decals (mine are shattered and would hope to trade for a fresh(er) set from you guys), or try and do a lo-vis version as flown during DESERT SHIELD, 1990. Would also like to make a crew for the front office...baseball caps and headsets, or helmets?

You are still the Hero Modeler of the Soviet Union. Some epic stuff here. Love the pigeon truck. Good call, painting the CVN-65 deck stripes. And the pic of the Tu-142 looks just like one of those overhead, treaty-verification pix, c.1990s. Rage on, bra'!

...or maybe it was '22... Mr. BUFF works the room, at a recent club meeting. The AMT/ERTL/Italeri "Early G-model" kit, backdated for Linebacker-II, with a custom tail stinger and more... Mr. BONE awaits inspiration, with a couple of DIY 3D printed bits in play... Unlike her bro's here, Connie is not 1/72 scale, but that wonky 1/800... Pegasus SVA.5 is farther along, but still stalled at the need-a-jig phase... ...and a pesky MiG, from the old, nay "vintage" Hasegawa kit.

Fantastic project -You Are The Man! I'm building one wings-back, inflight, so you can have the nose gear and ladder bits (except for the hatch itself), if that helps. Do you need the wheels/tires too? Or just the L/G strut parts? Send me a PM with your mailing address, as desired.

Thanx - she re-wrote the invoice document as accessed by my account and set it for the 3-year, $86 option. So that option is still alive, in the system. Am guessing that somebody else in digi-land would need to set that up as a standard, online renewal option...?

Got the online distro pitch for the '24 Nats and it took me right to my personal profile, for that task - nice! Along the way, I updated my profile info and decided to renew my membership, which expires in APR24. Clicking on the RENEW button, I prefer to renew for the three-year term, especially if the discount is still offered, but can't find that option beyond the pre-selected, one-year renewal for $30. Is the three-year membership option/discount still available? If so, what am I missing? Thanx for your look...

Fantastic piece! Saw it on FakeBook, too.
