  1. I know! Dr. Strangelove! :P
  2. Star Wars - the cantina scene?
  3. Invasion of the Body Snatchers
  4. Yikes! Not looking for clues per se, but is the picture altered in any way, or is this a direct still from the movie?
  5. Oh, yes, Brisco was brilliant! Once again, Fox dropped the ball in favour of more teen crap and "reality" tv......
  6. My favourites were ST:DS9 - especially the last two seasons - and Space: Above and Beyond, which wasn't given a fair run. Thunderbirds has always been a favourite as well. I just watched the (old) movie last week - what fun!

Then I vote to remove this topic, as it is now redundant! ;)
  8. Nice clean build there, Mark. Take care with the bleaching process - you don't want the model to get too hot and sag! :o
  9. Nice one, Dick! Great job on the cockpit - it really looks the part.
  10. Hi David, thanks! This will be a review - just finishing up the text now and should submit to Dave M. shortly. And no, it wasn't the easiest of builds! Think Classic Airframes, only in 1/72.... And thanks Ken and James for your kind comments too!
  11. Thanks Rodolfo! The Sea Vixen actually entered service back in 1959 and left frontline service in 1972. As far as I know, the only "offensive" action was during the Rhodesian blockade in the mid-sixties. Here's a good, concise histroy: http://www.thunder-and-lightnings.co.uk/seavixen/history.php
  12. Cheers, Gil - lots of blood, toil, tears and sweat in this one! John - those red markings are indeed stencilling. I believe those are no step markings for the engine access panels, of which there was much need.....
  13. Finally finished my Xtrakits Sea Vixen - she put up a heck of a fight! Now for something a little quieter......anyone have a spare Hobbyboss Easy Kit to spare!
  14. Silent Running. Always brings me to tears at the end.
  15. Cool! Can we all join in? I'm working on the following at this time (all 1/72): Airfix F-84F Airfix Islander Matchbox Hunter T.7 PJ Production Hunter, converted to GA.11 Xtrakits Sea Vixen (for review) Italeri Harrier GR.3 (also for review) Matchbox Buccaneer (Thanks to our inestimable Webmaster, Bob!) All are at the painting stage. The Sea Vixen and Hunter GA.11 are both the same scheme (which helps with planning my airbrushing sessions), as are the Harrier, Bucc and Hunter T.7. Sorry, no pics at this time, maybe later.
  16. Dave Morrissette will know for sure, but I believe Roden review kits come directly from Roden in Russia. They are distributed by Squadron in the US. Incidentally, Roden kits are notorious for their very poor decals. I've had little luck with mine over the years, and always plan on having to replace them.
  17. Easy - that's a Messerschmitt! My dad restored one back in the seventies. It even has a side-opening canopy, just like the real thing! We always used to joke that it was slower than a Spitfire, but had a better turn radius! (Triumph Spitfire, that is!!)
