  1. That's the only way I shoot, from sports to portraits to landscapes to whatever.
  2. I just wipe some Mr Seam on there and it's all set. No sanding, filling or anything. It's ready to go! I usually use Mr Surfacer 1000 since it dries so fast. I will have to give the silver sharpie a try. Obviously it doesn't mess up the final paint job if so many are using it.
  3. All I use is a double 15w florescent fixture (18" long???) and a single 13w Compact Florescent fixture over my work bench. It's all I need. I have 3 - 15w tube fixtures mounted in my spray booth.
  4. Yep, my airbrush holder can barely be seen on the right as well. I also installed two vinyl coated hooks on the outside of the right panel to hang my other airbrush off of. My power strip is on the left side outer panel.
  5. I built mine 9 or 10 yrs ago out of plywood. I use 3/8 plywood for mine. Might opt for 1/2" on the top the next time......if not 3/4 for the whole thing. Installed a 6", 230ish CFM axial fan (like a computer fan). I mounted 3 florescent light fixtures on the inside and some left over u-channel for holding the filter. I mount and power strip on the the outside where all the lights and fans plug into, so with a flick of the power strip switch everything comes on. It moves a lot of air. If I were to build again, I would put the fan on the back wall, or on the floor of the booth.
  6. I use Hobby Link Japan for RSS feeds for my club website......have them separated by category. AIR, ARMOR, AUTO http://www.ipmskalamazoo.org - Lower Right Side Can't seem to get the RSS from Dragon going, my News Headline module doesn't like their RSS feed.
  7. Thanks for putting that up Clare..... Here's the DIRECT LINK to the article
  8. Hey Clare, how about doing a write up for our club website? WINK WINK
  9. This is my 1/48 Roden Junkers D.I for an IPMS Review. Decals sucked to get over the corrugation, as you can see in the lettering on the side of the fuselage. Crosses I ended up masking and painting on. Camo was free-handed with my Iwata using Model Master Field Green and Tamiya Purple. Revision: Little wash on the gun barrels. Enjoy...(more pics in my review)

    Vote

In my club, I am always the mean old fuddy duddy that says Nay to every vote........So NAY! But really I mean the opposite!

    Removing decals?

Sometimes you have to attack it several times.

    Removing decals?

I just took some decals off some corrugated wings......had to run my fingernail over the tape to make the tape contact the stuff in the bottom valleys of the corrugation.......but it worked well.

    Removing decals?

    Just use a tacky tape.
  14. 2 words - Food Dehydrator I dip my canopies in the Future and in several hours of running in the Food Dehydrator I can handle away......rather than wait a few days.
  15. Well, I give up.......now they are ruined because they got to brittle and still wouldn't settle in. So, atleast for the crosses they will be painted on.......however they turn out. The rest of the decals will go on the best they can.
  16. What's the difference? Isn't one more aggressive?
  17. Egads..........what a pain in the beepity beep beep. Only got 4 decals on right now........the top crosses went on ok. Fought me a little, but a billion coats of Micro-Sol seemed to help. The ones giving me the problems is the side lettering, cause there is so much clear film...........there is a lot of air trapped behind it. Many applications of Micro-Sol and many pin pricks and knife slices and no luck. It is Futured for sure. Any suggestions?
  18. Built in 10 days? U SUCK! Good Build Greg........Subtle Weathering is good too!

    Roden Contact?

CONTACT! Stopped by my PO Box today and viola............new decals from Roden! Little outta register, but they will work. The black is solid as opposed to the last attempt.

    Roden Contact?

Anyone have a contact for Roden? The kit decals for my 1/48 Junkers D.I are bad and I've emailed them twice now asking for replacements so I could finish this kit for my review on IPMS USA. Really don't wanna mask a corrugate kit.
