  1. Hey guys. I finally finished this biplane at long last! I can't believe it myself, after 955 hours of free time spanned over 43 months. I may be getting the hang of posting photos on this forum but I have a long way to go on that. Happy Modeling, Mark (aAzZ09)
  2. I'm glad to see this. It will stir up the old memories once again. Thanks Dave, Mark Fiedler (aAzZ09)
  3. Welcome Bob from another old-timer whose been at this since 1955. Best, Mark Fiedler (aAzZ09)
  4. Ditto, and in addition, Bravo! Best, Mark Fiedler (aAzZ09)
  5. Hello Bob: Welcome aboard! You'll find plenty of help here. I am an aviation enthusiast and focus mostly on the years 1930 to 1955, and saw many a prop liner, early jet, and other aircraft fly over my neighborhood as a kid. Feel free to ask us if you need help. Happy Modeling, Mark Fiedler (aAzZ09)
  6. Nice work, Duke! My dad would have been proud of that F4U, since he worked at Chance Vought from 1929 to 1971, and I still remember the late Naval Reserve F4U-5s at Henslee Field (near the Vought plant in Grand Prarire) ready to go to the diposal sites in late 1955 or '56, the same period that I began building models. I knew the company test pilots that flew them as a boy, and when I became old enough to appreciate them, I still view their conversations with my dad as a treasure. The F84 looks nice too, and I remember a few of those flying over our neighborhood from Carswell AFB during that transitional era. Happy Modeling, Mark Fiedler (aAzZ09)
  7. Hello Wayne: Thank you for your assistance. I recently discovered a blurb in Scale Auto magazine that Revell plans to release a 1970 Hemi 'Cuda next year ('13). In what scale, I'm not sure, possibly in 1/25". (I was a young muscle car enthusiast then, and I remain that way now, although I really don't build model cars as such. If I ever win the lottery, I'd like to buy one car from that era and race it once a year at the Pure Stock Muscle Car Drag Races held each year in Stanton, Michigan every September (psmcdr.com) . That is part of my middle age insanity, and on my "bucket list"). So there may be some decent " Hockey Stick" graphics to go with the kit, maybe not. I'll probably wait until then and complete my P-6E Hawk biplane, which I'm in the final stages of. Again, thanks for your help. Happy New Year, Mark Fiedler (aAzZ09)
  8. Thanks Don. Best, Mark
  9. Thanks Rob. Best, Mark
  10. I don't build cars but my wife would like to see at least one someday. I get to choose the subject, a 1970 Hemi 'Cuda. If so, can I find conversion parts for the Revell/Monogram '71 "Cuda? Also, the accented "hockey stick" graphic art sometimes offered as an option on the real car, i.e., "340", "440", or in this case, "Hemi", in either a black or white color. Thanks, Mark Fiedler (aAzZ09)
  11. Welcome aboard Paddy. You're in good company! Happy Modeling, Mark Fiedler (aAzZ09)

  17. Does anyone know when the Region 6 Convention is, or where? I have not seen anything about it at all from the IPMS/USA website. Thanks, Mark Fiedler (aAzZ09)
  18. Thanks Dick. Best, Mark
  19. I have helped to donate kits to the troops in the past, (i.e. the ASMS (Austin Scale Modeler's Society) Contest, but that seemed to be the only way, for the time being, that I could be of any service. There wasn't a similar setup last October, and since I can't get to regular IPMS Austin meetings due to my work schedule, I didn't know of any other contact until now. Thanks, Dick.
