  1. Welcome! One of the best Nationals ever was KC Dave
  2. Its a review kit so in lieu of Dick's answer, there is more here: http://web.ipmsusa3.org/content/de-havilland-mosquito-fbvi-final-part There are several parts Dave
  3. My thoughts on the initial topic. As far as group builds, I rarely do them for a couple reasons. First and foremost is time. I have enough builds I want to do plus the review items. I suppose if it coincided with the correct group build and the kit matched, I would do it. I suppose second for me is topics. I build things that interest me so that might rule out some items. For me, P-51's, Spitfires, 109's hold no interest but, again, if the topic was good and matched I would be in also. We could try one and see what rings out. Looking over the total posts for the last year, I see 3-4 people who build regularly (Mark, Gil and a few others) so I am not sure what the participation would be Dave

  6. Amen to that Gil. For me, it was Bob Steinbrunn and one of the articles he wrote for Finescale using photoetch to detail an Otaki Spitfire....and the rest is history and 400 built kits and almost as many unbuilt and 16 years on the IPMS board. Still love Bob's builds too Dave
  7. Try not to do ebay. From a figure perspective, way to many thieves taking and recasting good kits. I also watch the daily sales at both Squadron and Sprue- if something good, I buy it but lately I have bee concentrating on figures. Too many planes, etc. plus I find myself build a lot of reviewer corps kits so maybe its time to thin the herd Dave
  8. Thanks. Nice kit and pretty reasonable resin at~$75 delivered. About 1/8 scale so she's 9-10 inches tall Dave
  9. I just got a copy of this- Rosie the Riveter: And if I can paint it well, it might look like this: Love WWII pinup/nose art Dave
  10. Cool. I think this is the same kit: http://www.ipmsusa.org/reviews/Archive/Kits/Aircraft/Pacific_Coast_32_Macchi_C200/Pacific_Coast_32_Macchi_C200.htm Dave
