Mark Deliduka Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 This week I was able to finish two more aircraft. This first one is a simple 1/72 scale Heller Hawker Tempest. It's a basic kit that I did out of the box and painted in standard British camo pattern. This next one is an ancient 1/72 scale MPC kit of the YOV-10 Bronco, a COIN aircraft used in Vietnam. According to the instructions, I painted it wrong and made it totally inaccurate. Oh well. It's mine, and I built it to look good. Here it is after being delivered to my US Marines: Well, there are my latest aircraft models. I have several more that I have almost ready to complete. Stay tuned for more. Meanwhile, thanks for looking in, comments are welcome.
ghodges Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 Good work Duke! That Nogs OV-10 reminds me of when I tried converting the old 1/48 Hawk/Testors kit! Thanks for sharing! GIL
Mark Deliduka Posted April 21, 2011 Author Report Posted April 21, 2011 Thanks Gil. I'm glad that YOV-10 is finally done. It fought me the whole time I was working on it. The decals also took some serious convincing to lay down! I'm actually surprised it looks as good as it does. She's no award winner, but she does look good!
aAzZ09 Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 Ah, the Tempest Mark 5 -great aircraft! Nice work Duke. Best, Mark Fiedler (aAzZ09)
Mark Deliduka Posted April 27, 2011 Author Report Posted April 27, 2011 Thanks Mark! It was a simple Heller kit, but a fun diversion to some of the more difficult ones (*cough*armored train!*cough*)
