Airfix 1/48 Spitfire F. 22 #2....

Finally finished....I think, the 2nd Spit. F. 22. I used old and brittle Eagle Strike decals (some of which failed even after a coat of decal film....UGH) for the 73 Sqn. markings. I'm not a Spitfire guy but these Griffon-powered Spits. are just cool looking to me.

Very lovely late model Spit! I agree with you in that those last models were the most aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Great looking build and I'd never have guessed you had the first problem judging by the result!

Thanks Gil. I have never had problems with Eagle Strike decals, old or new, until this set. These just kept cracking. I changed the upper side pics as I noticed I had forgot to paint the leading edge of the wings......DOH!! Fixed now.

Magnificent! She is a beautiful bird there! You sure are better at fixing cracked decals than I am; I also cannot see where you had any issues!
