albymoore Posted November 7, 2022 Report Posted November 7, 2022 Hi All, Here is my version of MPC's 1/25th 1978 Dodge D100. I built it as a Northern Michigan beater that's still earning her keep as firewood hauler. Craft paints were used for the main colors, which was applied over Vallejo rust paints. Chipping was achieved with the salt technique as well as sanding through the paint. Toothpicks and needles were used to simulate finer scratches. Woodland Scenics driftwood logs cut into smaller sections make up the load of firewood. Thank you for looking. Cheers, Albert 3
GaryDavis Posted November 7, 2022 Report Posted November 7, 2022 Man...GREAT JOB Albert. Your weathering work on this is spot on. 1

AZRhino Posted November 7, 2022 Report Posted November 7, 2022 Is the wooden front bumper an option in the kit or scratch built add-on? Your rust holes in the body are very well done. Nice job! 1

It was weathered, then photoetched bolt heads added to make it look like it was bolted to the frame. Cheers, Albert Edited November 8, 2022 by albymoore Goofy layout. 1
