philp Posted June 14, 2009 Report Posted June 14, 2009 All, Got the new 72nd kit and it looks pretty good (have to wait for the Review). Planning on putting it in the sand color used in Iraq and wondered if the cab interiors were also repainted or left in the dark green color? Also, does anyone do aftermarket tires for this kit yet as that is one area the kit is lacking in? All help greatly appreciated.

Unless you have a specific vehicle that you have info on, the general rule of thumb is that if the vehicle came from the unit and was deployed with the unit, the exterior of the vehicle was repainted while the interior was not. If the vehicle was serviced in a depot before deployment, then the interior was repainted at the same time.
RGronovius Posted June 14, 2009 Report Posted June 14, 2009 Older vehicles manufactured in NATO 3-color had a green interior. Newer vehicles manufactured in sand would have a sand interior. If the vehicle was painted sand for deployment, the interior was not painted.
philp Posted June 14, 2009 Author Report Posted June 14, 2009 So if I don't know any better, paint it green :D
Mark Deliduka Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 That's what I would do. I envy you. This model is on my list of models to buy. I've been wanting one for a long time.
