ikar Posted April 20, 2009 Report Posted April 20, 2009 I used the Cobra kit and then added bench seats, internal cargo nets, support lines, antenna wire, clear lights, and the M-60 with its simple mounting system
MainelyRick Posted April 20, 2009 Report Posted April 20, 2009 Nice work, ikar! Now I HAVE to get one! Thanks for the inspiration. Rick in Maine
ghodges Posted April 21, 2009 Report Posted April 21, 2009 Nice one! I especially like the varying tones on the exhaust pipe. How did you do that? Also, what kit and scale is it? Thanks! GIL
Glynyrd Posted April 21, 2009 Report Posted April 21, 2009 Nice work. I especially like the netting. Glenn
ikar Posted April 21, 2009 Author Report Posted April 21, 2009 For the exhaust I used a Combination of Metalizer and Alclad. It's the Testors (Hawk) kit in 1/32nd scale, the M-60 came from Tamiya.
VonL Posted April 21, 2009 Report Posted April 21, 2009 Wow - That is sharp! And a way cool, unusual subject.
Dreamsof51 Posted April 21, 2009 Report Posted April 21, 2009 Who says you can't make an old kit look good. Nice job Thanks for posting. Chris
Chris Mobley Posted April 21, 2009 Report Posted April 21, 2009 Looks great. That helo is what got me to meet Gen. Scott. I was standing there at the museum in Warner Robbins probably with a confused look on my face trying to figure out how those blades worked and he came up and explained it to me and spent a good bit of time through the rest of the place. me not being a huge plane buff did not know who he was till we went by the God Is My Copilot display. Then it clicked.
Guest Bun E. Carlos Posted April 21, 2009 Report Posted April 21, 2009 VERY NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
