OMG....Not the sacrificial canopy! What's next? The sacrificial wing, wheel, rudder? Are you mad??? Where will it end? That should have ended up in the parts bin. Now it's ruined and will never fulfill it's purpose in life.....I hope you can sleep at night!
Looks really great. Can't wait to see the finished product!

I have always used Model Master Dullcote from the can and get excellent results. Their brush on works great for thos really small spots that you want a REALLY dull finish on.

Well, since I do lots of Ebay searching, it appears that the new Trumpeter T-62 is out (all my overseas Korean contacts have them) so we should be seeing it on our side of the pond shortly.

I wish they would put out the T49 track seperately. Another one of those IDF used tracks.

Gil,
It is a styrene plastic that can be glued together with any glue. The other plus is that is actually absorbs paint as opposed to having it sit on top of the tracks and flake off when it is bent.

Model Master Clear coats are not solvent resistant. I actually have learned to CAREFULLY wipe has I have taken it down to bare plastic or primer in two swipes. I refuse to use acrylics so I have just become more careful.

Les,
The links I have found say it is Beneito miniatures. Also, if you use Erich Topp you get lots more hits.

John,
Remember, anytime you are in my neck of the woods again...you are always welcome.

Mike,
Looks great. Please keep us informed. I did the salt mask on an SU-100 and was not pleased with the results. Definitely looking forward to seeing how yours works.

Very impressive. I usually use Kristal Klear.

Has anyone used this set? I am curious if the Fruilmodel set has the sprocket lightning holes drilled out? Any help if anyone has used this would be great.

Every non-model builder that sees my man cave or a model I work on keeps saying they don't have the patience to try it. You aircraft builders are the patience masters! Gil, that is looking completely beautiful! Keep the pictures coming. How you have the patience to do the re-scribing work is beyond me. To willingly and knowing fill and sand joins that you have to re-scribe completely boggles my mind.
