ScottScariot Posted July 12, 2012 Report Posted July 12, 2012 Okay I finished work onthis model last week. I like how it looks. I took some better photos with my camera. As I said before I used Alclad II and Humbrol paints also some Tamiya clear Red. I sanded off the raised Cylon Symbols and used decals from SSM. I also added more detailed engine parts from Acreation. The stand is from JT Graphics. Comments welcome. This is a video of the model http://smg.photobuck...nt=MVI_0588.mp4
RGronovius Posted July 12, 2012 Report Posted July 12, 2012 I like the looks of it. the new raider actually made sense with the robot being the ship (although the notion really appeared in The Phantom menance first). You've done a beautiful job. I still like the original Cylon Raider better than the reimagined one (as a ship), but I feel the new one makes more sense. It just looks too much like the Vulture droid fighters from Star Wars for my taste.
ScottScariot Posted July 13, 2012 Author Report Posted July 13, 2012 The lighting system was a chip I bought from a member of the starship modeler forums. The chip was designed to fit in the head and was pretty easy to install
