bjnsc1 Posted April 21, 2012 Report Share Posted April 21, 2012 I have been a member of IPMS for awhile now, but just registered yesterday. Why the wait? Well, I would much rather spend time melting plastic than messing with the computer. It's a poor excuse, but it's all I have for the moment. I belong to the IPMS-Atlanta chapter and am the chairman of our 2013 regional model contest next year. Like a lot of us, I got away from modeling while raising a family, but now, all of the kids have finished college and started their own careers. My modeling interest is mostly armor, but I have built about as many planes as tanks. I have always admired the work done by the advanced builders and am working to develope my own skills. I have won a few awards in the local shows. Though I still concider myself a rookie, my compatriots feel I can compete with most.
