PaulBradley Posted July 30, 2025 Report Posted July 30, 2025 I've been informed by his brother that Jack Kennedy has passed away. Jack was a long time IPMS/USA member, President and E Board member, a great figure modeller and a good friend. He had a long history in IPMS, beginning in his days in Long Island and later in Sedona, AZ. He was DLC from 2002 to 2006, President from 2006 to 2010 and Historian/Publications Director from 2010 to 2012. His figures were a feature of National Contests for many years and he regularly won 1sts. He also built race cars to a high standard and loved to model the F-86. He had a very sharp sense of humour and a large fund of often off-colour jokes; his stories about modelling in the 70s and his work for Heller are legendary. Outside of modelling, he enjoyed airshows, attending motor races, photography and RVing with his beloved wife, Lynn, who preceded him in death, and feisty chihuahua, Chico. Jack was a good friend and I enjoyed long chats with him about modelling, aviation and F1. I will miss him. My condolences to his family.
dmorrissette Posted August 2, 2025 Report Posted August 2, 2025 Jack was great. Actually gave me figure painting lessons in oils while we were both on the board. He'll be missed Dave
Chris Bucholtz Posted September 19, 2025 Report Posted September 19, 2025 Is there anyone who can write up a remembrance for the Journal?
PaulBradley Posted September 20, 2025 Author Report Posted September 20, 2025 Chris, I believe Mike McFadden was going to work on something - try messaging him.
