StuartMont Posted September 20, 2024 Report Posted September 20, 2024 Good morning, I am currently starting to put the deck markings down. I intend to use parallel stripe decals for the appropriate markings. However, does anyone know if there are large decals for the “65” on the deck? I do not have the steady hand needed to mask/paint the numbers. I found 1/350 decals for the model but the largest 65’s are only 14mm tall. These have to be about 37mm tall. My search has been otherwise unsuccessful but I’m hoping I just don’t know where to look. Thanks in advance for your help Stuart
PaulBradley Posted September 20, 2024 Report Posted September 20, 2024 Have you tried looking in 1/192 or 1/200 scale? I saw these - they might be able to do custom work for you: https://www.ebay.com/itm/375591869973?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=375591869973&targetid=2299003535955&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9030291&poi=&campaignid=21214315381&mkgroupid=161363866036&rlsatarget=pla-2299003535955&abcId=9407526&merchantid=101988148&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwurS3BhCGARIsADdUH53dkVp1Iuz3DrRfhR45esWbLZ5vjw0_H5_zaUnvD4EKkSu0YnVgxqkaAgdjEALw_wcB
StuartMont Posted September 20, 2024 Author Report Posted September 20, 2024 Thanks for the link, I’ll take a look. I only searched 1/350. Stuart
Ron Bell Posted September 20, 2024 Report Posted September 20, 2024 (edited) There's also the possibility of using rub down numbers. You can find all sorts of shapes and sizes in craft/art stores or search on-line. If you are uneasy about "rubbing" anything onto your model, rub them down first onto clear decal sheet then clear coat them, cut as close to the number as possible and apply like a normal decal.
