Mike Delano Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 Has anyone seen the cover of the May 4th, 2009 Newsweek? If you have, you'll know what I'm taliing about...
Mike Delano Posted April 28, 2009 Author Report Posted April 28, 2009 can you scan one? I fully expect there to be a letter to the editor in one of the upcoming issues as to why they didn't get the nacelles right... Newsweek, you really dropped the ball on this one...
GHonanie Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 Ok which one of you guys built this one? Jack B I'm thinking it was you.
papasmurf Posted April 30, 2009 Report Posted April 30, 2009 Jeez, could have used a toy version at least, has Newsweek's cover budget sunk so low?
jcorley Posted April 30, 2009 Report Posted April 30, 2009 Jeez, could have used a toy version at least, has Newsweek's cover budget sunk so low? My thoughts: Since the Enterprise is a quasi-military vessel (at least that Enterprise was in the sixties) they paid as much attention to the details as they did when the media kept calling the USS Bainbridge (DDG-96) a battleship and showing photos of DLGN-25 during the pre-Easter pirate/hostage standoff. Either that or they ran out of time and had to get the picture submitted! Of course, the big dreams that Star Trek led us to have obviously included finished models at some point in our lives.
