Ron Bell Posted March 17, 2015 Report Posted March 17, 2015 This is the old FROG kit of Whittle's first jet. It was basically an engine with wings and a seat, and that pretty much describes the kit as well. Very basic. I added a basic interior to see through the canopy, replaced the gear doors as they would have scaled out as armor plate in real life. It needed a lot, and I mean a lot, of weight in the nose to get it to sit right. It came with two pilots. One was the standard nondescript blob to put in the cockpit. The other was a rather nicely sculpted standing figure. Funny thing was the guy in the plane scaled out the size of a smurf and couldn't see over the cockpit combing while the guy outside looks like the Cardiff Giant. Used the Giant anyway. The 'P' in a circle denotes 'Prototype' and the 'G' after the aircraft ID means it should always be under guard. 1

Love the way you make those oldies look nice Ron! I also learned something, as I didn't know about the "G" code designation. Thanks for posting! GIL
