Gromit801
Has any one ever made a resin interior set for this thing? I swear Revell designed this kit to be hung from the ceiling.

ghodges
One of the criticisms of the 1/48 Revell B-17 is that it was TOO similar to the Monogram kit! Although I've never tried it, you can supposedly use either fuselage half from either kit together...even the locating pins and holes line up the same! I also suspect that much of the Monogram interior detailing will fit VERY nicely into the Revell kit. Outside of the nose gun sight and controls, there's little difference between an F interior and a G interior. There's the resin sets mentioned above as well as (I believe) an Eduard Brassin set that would be largely applicable and usable. However, a "trashed" Monogram kit would be a much cheaper alternative. Keep in mind if you want bomb bay detail you have to pick up either the latest issue or the "clear fuselage issue" of the Monogram kit, as the original mid-70s release does NOT have any bomb bay detail. Just a suggestion. Best of luck! GIL Edited February 16, 2015 by ghodges
