This is another one of my "oldies" photographed nearly a year ago. Another fun build.000_0009_zps431efe20.jpg

Nice! But what's with the "tease"....

What vac kit? How much scratchbuilding was needed? what parts did you rob from the spares box? And exactly how old is it?

Hello Gil. The model was built back in 1991, and correct me if I'm wrong (for some reason my memory is failing me as to the model's manufacturer) but I believe it was the old Wings Vacuform. The prop blades came from my spares box, as was the spinner and sanded to form. The cockpit was scratch built, and the canopy was scrap canopy and windshield sanded to form. Landing gear and tailwheel were from the kit. The "tease" was a left over judges ribbon I wore at one of our IPMS North Central Texas local contests many years ago. I'll try to add more photo detail later but the album won't let me. Best,

Mark

I think it may be a product of Gull Models. I don't think Wings ever did a 202, but I may be wrong

Nice model BTW

Thanks Max. I believe the kit was from Gull Wings. Thanks for the reminder. Best,

Thanks for the info! I can see why it's one of your favorites. It's a great result from solid, old school building skills!
