Is it the X-1 clear in the bottle or spray can, one is acrylic and the other is lacquer.

Doing a USAF Thunderbird, plan on using two bob decals over Tamiya fine white primer as color coat. It is a lacquer formulation, which brand of clear coat is safe to seal decals? I am a retired Chemist so I know it is voodoo science when dealing with chemical formulations. I made the mistake once of trying a generic clear over my Blue Angel F-18 and it ate the decals. It looks like the primer is glossy enough to handle the decals correct? I normally use Future to seal but want to try to avoid it in this build.

This what a PRUSA printer is capable of producing ,over 100 PLA parts. Still had to assemble and airbrush no different than polystyrene kit. 1/8 scale Little Boy from CGtrader.com.

Welcome to the forums. There are many possible color schemes, what I do is research the aircraft on the internet and pick your favorite plane and build away. I would recommend investing in a inexpensive Iwata airbrush for painting and get a decent set of camel hair brushes for detail work. See my earlier post for my P-51 prototype in Sn J natural metal finish. Learn to airbrush basic color schemes first and with practice it gets better.

Hello all my name is Dan, I renewed my IPMS membership today, I was President with the now defunct IPMS Texas Outlaw Modelers back in the early 1990's. I build aircraft and armor. My profile pic is my P-61 diorama in 1/48. We do 3-d printing and are trying out some new alternatives to casting resin. This is our latest creation a 1/8 scale Hiroshima bomb. My son downloaded this from CGtrader and printed it in gray PLA (100 pieces +) and I applied some Iwata airbrush magic to it. It has 2 LEDs in it.
