PawelP Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 Hi, Last week I started building this small plane ... A few photos from the workshop:
ghodges Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 Interesting! What scale is it? It reminds me of the old solid cast "ID" models. Is the canopy clear? The small parts count sure makes for fast assembly! GIL
PawelP Posted January 22, 2012 Author Report Posted January 22, 2012 It's scale 1/144. Kit is not too old - it has been on the market one or two years ago, as a new tool kit from ZVEZDA. Material is a little elastic ... It makes a problems with polishing and filling, but it is posiisble - it takes a time.
Dick Montgomery Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 Pawel, You are a brave man to take on this project! Thanks for sharing the pictures and I look forward to watching this project as it moves forward!
ClareWentzel Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 Good looking model so far Pawel. The small Zvezda kits are interesting. Hopefully, someone will start making some interesting decals for them. I did a review of their Bf-109 F2 last June and enjoyed the kit. I'm looking forward to seeing the final product.
PawelP Posted February 5, 2012 Author Report Posted February 5, 2012 Last relation ... ... and final gallery ... :-)
ClareWentzel Posted February 7, 2012 Report Posted February 7, 2012 It came out great. Very good job Pawel. Did you use the kit canopy? The final appearance is excellent.
PawelP Posted February 7, 2012 Author Report Posted February 7, 2012 Thanks :-) Canopy is from the kit. Decals are from I-16 and Fokker D.XXI kits / "Kami De Koro Koro". Additionl parts "from scratch" are: - MG barrels (mounted on the fuselage), - radio wire antenna - hydraulic parts to close/open undercarriage. I thought about better detailed undercarriage, and cockpit interior - probably next model LaGG-3 form Zvezda will be with this details. But ... I neeed time to collect data and correct plans. The decals below are from resin kit Fairy Kikaku Kit. I used only code names. Raster on the printing was not acceptable.
