tom Posted February 22, 2011 Report Posted February 22, 2011 I have never read anything definitive on what the color of luftwaffe field equipment, ( carts, engine heaters, aircraft dollys, etc.) was. The same as Wehrmact vehicles, panzer grey. If so did it change to dunkel gelg (dark kyellow) when vehicles did? Some color photos I have seen they look like the dark panzer grey, but we all know old color photos and film type can be deceiving.

TimDarrah Posted February 24, 2011 Report Posted February 24, 2011 I was looking at "Air Classics" magazine today, volume 47 number 2 (it has a me-109E-3 on the cover), and on page 24 it shows a Me 109G-14 from 3/JG300, which is late war, and in the background is a fuel trailer that was a very light colour. So it might have painted Dunkelgelb.
mquan Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 The new Special Hobby kit of the Me-163A comes with a Scheuch-Schlepper vehicle used to carry the rocket fighter around. The instructions call for dunkel-gelb for painting.
