MikeH Posted November 15, 2010 Report Posted November 15, 2010 Here's my next project for the IPMS Reviewer's Corps. Paint is on - Testors lacquer root beer brown
David M. Knights Posted November 15, 2010 Report Posted November 15, 2010 Love that car. Good color choice.
MikeH Posted November 30, 2010 Author Report Posted November 30, 2010 Just completed this one for review. I wished I had the time between project to spend some quality time and doll it up. GREAT GREAT kit with tons of potential. I'll be getting a couple more and dolling them up for sure.
ewahl Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 Hi, Mike, Your Cutlass is just beautiful! If this is an OOB build, Revell did a great job with details and under-hood everything, including markings. With this kit it is possible to build 3/4-ths of GM's 1972 offerings in this body shell. AMT had the 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle SS hardtop, MPC did the 1972 Pontiac GTO hardtop. Revell has the 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme convertible. Now we need the 1972 Buick Century. By swapping a few parts between kits, one could have a hardtop Olds and a convertible GTO, for example. Ed
MikeH Posted December 1, 2010 Author Report Posted December 1, 2010 Hi, Mike, Your Cutlass is just beautiful! I was really pressed for time with this one, but the interior is just as nicely decorated with detail. If I'd had the time to BMF everything and paint etc. it'd really pop. This kit is an 8 out of 10 on my scale.
