tiking Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 Absolutely stunning work my friend. Great weathering too.
Mark Deliduka Posted February 8, 2011 Report Posted February 8, 2011 Anyone got a picture of this fish? I find it hard to believe that it would beat out such a masterful scratchbuilt model like this rig! I am stunned and overwhelmed at how awesome that rig looks!
skysoldier46 Posted February 9, 2011 Author Report Posted February 9, 2011 Mark I have 2 pics but the file says too large to upoad. I'll reduce them and try again.
skysoldier46 Posted February 9, 2011 Author Report Posted February 9, 2011 (edited) Here's one pic altho it's small. here's the last pic I took. Yeah I felt somewhat 'slighted' to say the least but the fish did look real. Edited February 9, 2011 by skysoldier46
skysoldier46 Posted March 15, 2011 Author Report Posted March 15, 2011 I had to take a break from this new well drilling rig. more complicated and intense than even I realized. So what did I do... start building German WW2 planes. I'm waiting on a resin engine I ordered out of Australia for the drilling engine, but got really involved with planes again. Like lions and tigers and bears... well it's planes and tanks and scratchbuilts. I hope to have the rig finished by mid to late summer so I can send the article off to IPMS Journal. gotta love plastic.
VonL Posted March 16, 2011 Report Posted March 16, 2011 Absolutely beautiful work. Glad I'm not a judge; my cranium would implode.
