He wants to find a set of markings for the same AC that would be available for 1/144th, 1/72nd, 1/48th, 1/32nd, and 1/24th. Do you know of any decals that would feature the same aircraft markings in all of those scales?
adfogel Posted May 3, 2010 Report Posted May 3, 2010 My initial guess would be "Big Beautiful Doll" and perhaps "Old Crow". I know both have been covered in 1/72, 1/48 and 1/32 and Airfix used to have the BBD markings in one of their 1/24th scale P-51D releases and CE did a set as well. Platz does BBD in 1/144th. I know that a few of these are kit makings though. Just thinkin' out loud for a place to start. later, Lee
ghodges Posted May 4, 2010 Report Posted May 4, 2010 If the cover of the very first FSM can be believed, "The Flying Undertaker" is available in almost all scales. Several were built for the express purpose of demonstrating the differences in the main scales of plastic model a/c. GIL
