I found an old ITC M113 (actually a T113 prototype) kit in 1/24 scale complete with the styrene plastic parachutes and wall mount so you could hang the 113 from the wall looking like it was being airdropped. Any idea what this kit could be worth?

Rob,

Best of luck! I can't even find photos of that. I did find an add for a ITC M41 that looked kinda neat. Does it even look like an M113?

Yes, it looks just like an M113, a 1/24 scale one. If it isn't worth any real money, I may try to make it into an M113. Tracks to replace the vinyl kit ones would be necessary, probably try to make a set of Bradley tracks work.

It all depends on the kit number.

3670 - $40-60

3858.8 - $30-50

3861.1 - $25-35

These values are from the Burns guide, and are several years old now. It gives you a range of what to expect, though. Want to sell it? I might be interested.

I'll check the kit number to see which one it is. I'll post a photo of the box art and sprues for the curious. I'd probably never built it or if I did, I wouldn't do it any justice. It was a cool, vintage kit that caught my eye, that's why I grabbed it.

Shoot,

I had never heard of the company until your post. I saw the ad on an ebay search for the M-41 and it looked HUGE. That would be neat to share photos if you could.

ITC's old M41 Walker Bulldog "Battlin' Betsy" was relelased in the 1990s by Glencoe. It was in 1/16th scale (IIRC). Another old ITC kit that came back to life as a Glencoe kit was the M724 Mechanical Mule w/recoilless rifle. They did not include the wall mount and air drop parachutes though.

Another old ITC kit I have the the T92 Airdrop tank kit. This was the tank that was to replace the M41 but was cancelled after the amphibious PT-76 arrived. The subsequent tank eventually became the M551 Sheridan. The T92 is in 1/24 scale as well.

The kit is number 3670-298 I assume 298 was the original price of $2.98. I've included a shot of the box art along with a yard stick. The box is about 14" high and is a very sturdy cardboard. There is a shot with the hull top and sides as well as the vacuformed parachutes. There are two sheets of each color of parachute, they're just stacked one atop the other. The parachutes are created by gluing two red and two yellow to create the canopy. There are a couple of woven straps for the parachute risers in OD green, nice stuff there.
