MikeH Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 (edited) I'm building this on as part of an Indy 500 CBP on another forum. It's been a long time since I built a 69 Camaro and they're my favorite car! Edited December 14, 2009 by MikeH
Texas Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 Thats going to be a great looking model.....I hope you post some build photos here. Texas
MikeH Posted December 4, 2009 Author Report Posted December 4, 2009 Well, not much, but some progress. The body's painted white, the interior's mostly orange minus what will be black carpet, and the chassis's painted with the tank masked & painted as well. I've been slowly toodling on the engine, but slow going for sure.
JayMesawitz Posted December 4, 2009 Report Posted December 4, 2009 Crisp & clean as usual. What is really amazing is that your this far in after just completeing the 'Z' Always tuned in to your work, Jay
Texas Posted December 4, 2009 Report Posted December 4, 2009 Looking Very Nice.... I have always liked that paint scheme on that year Camaro. Texas
MikeH Posted December 11, 2009 Author Report Posted December 11, 2009 I got the interior finished tonight including a dull coat over the hounds tooth decals to try make it look like cloth. Also got the body foiled. I have to paint the top of the windshield brace aluminum yet.
MikeH Posted December 11, 2009 Author Report Posted December 11, 2009 makin' it look easy! Thanks. This is my first go with official "Bare Metal Foil" as opposed to the Testors stuff I normally use. Man, I'm never going back.
Texas Posted December 13, 2009 Report Posted December 13, 2009 Looking Very Nice.....You do some really clean neat work. Keep it going. Texas
MikeH Posted December 14, 2009 Author Report Posted December 14, 2009 Well, she's all wrapped up. The decals were a bit problematic due to age or what not, but I managed them.
JayMesawitz Posted December 14, 2009 Report Posted December 14, 2009 Looks better than the one in the Indianapolis speedway museum. They have a model display with every pace car to lap the track. kind of cool if you've never been.
Dreamsof51 Posted December 14, 2009 Report Posted December 14, 2009 Very nice. Saw one of these last year in of all places Downtown Disney just outside Disneyland. There were several 70s era muscle cars on display including one of these. The couple who brought it were the original owners as I recall. Its something you'd leave in your will. Well done. I really like the extras under the hood. Adds a lot. Chris
MikeH Posted December 15, 2009 Author Report Posted December 15, 2009 Thank you for the kind compliments guys.
Keith Pruitt Posted December 15, 2009 Report Posted December 15, 2009 Beautiful work!! Nicely done...Congrats!
