RussMB Posted November 17, 2025 Report Posted November 17, 2025 Hi Guys For those who knew Gerry…. he passed last Tuesday November 4th 2025 from complications arising from Parkinson’s Disease. I met Gerry many times at Airliners International conventions and IPMS conventions. He was a good friend, always willing to pass along his knowledge and experience building airliners and other models. I have spoken with his wife, Sharon. She asks that in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the Mayo Clinic, and their Parkinson’s research program. Here is a link to the page at Mayo where a donation in Gerry’s name can be made: https://give.mayoclinic.org/campaign/744057/donate Thanks!
Chris Bucholtz Posted November 17, 2025 Report Posted November 17, 2025 Russ -- Is there any way someone in the Colorado area can write up an obituary for the Journal? I know Gerry was an important person in the airliner world (my friend Ken Miller, another Airliners International regular, pinged me about his passing earlier this week) and deserves to be remembered.
RussMB Posted November 17, 2025 Author Report Posted November 17, 2025 Please, if you knew Gerry, and would like to post something here, go ahead! His wife knows this thread is here, and I am sure she would enjoy reading them. Thanks!
ghodges Posted November 18, 2025 Report Posted November 18, 2025 Sorry to hear this. I pray that his wife, family, and friends are buoyed through their grief and sense of loss with all of their loving memories of him. Gil
