ju52junk Posted April 23, 2018 Report Posted April 23, 2018 I have a question. I have a 1/48 scale F-16 that I plan on someday to build. I noticed that F-16s and other jets have a whitish color on the inside of the nozzle. How should I paint the inside of the nozzle to reproduce this color? Dry brush with white paint?
Ralph Nardone Posted April 23, 2018 Report Posted April 23, 2018 I've painted the liner white or light gray, then dusted with dark gray and black pastel, depending how "used" I want it to appear. 1
ghodges Posted April 23, 2018 Report Posted April 23, 2018 That whitish area is actually a ceramic coating, which then gets stained black and brown. Ralph's method should work perfectly! GIL
