Ron Bell
This is an oldie that I just wanted to do for fun. Seems I do that a lot these days with my modeling. Anyway, just OOTB. Kit dates from 1979 and only has 39 parts and six decals, two of which I didn't even use. They were "U-505", which never appeared on her in service. They were painted on by the Americans after they captured her. Despite her age, she went together pretty well with some flash on smaller parts, but lots of mold seams to remove. The deck guns are not very detailed, but remember this was 1979. No scale is given, so those of you so inclined can figure it out. The model is 14" stem to stern. ghodges
Good looking Uboat Ron, especially since you stuck to the OOTB theme! It also shows why ship modelers fell in love with photo etched railings and details when they became available! GIL
