Gil, Gil, Gil... That Panther turned out great especially for what, a weeks build? The overall build looks amazing especially the finish. Who would have thought that Tamiya's dark blue would fit the bill? Color really looks good too! Any more pics of the office/office chair? I had the twogar for the longest time and sold it a few years ago for a nice penny. I also have the Fisher conversion for the Skyraider to make it into the station wagon variant as my dad called it when he crewed on one while at Pax Riv. This is something I won't be selling anytime soon.. Thanks, after seeing your build, I am getting the itch to do the AD-5. Update #1 Ok here we go.. I do apologize for the delay but the mancave needed some attention.. 🙄 So I got the interior all painted up, installed and I went ahead and buttoned up the fuselage halves. One thing I did and it was my fault sort of speak. I wanted to drill out the side air vents just in front of the engine access panels and my hand started shaking. Before I knew it, I essentially removed the vent lol. I had a spare clear spure from a Tamiya Spit lying around and so I used both the fuselage lights and voila, I have side engine vents! Before I forget, the P-39N-5 had armored platting behind the pilots head instead of the armored glass and the sole pic of the aircraft that I'm doing had the platting installed. Not sure why Hasegawa raised the main fuel caps(one on each side) on the wings but they did. It took a bit but I sanded the one cap rim down and I'm pleased on how it looks. It's not 100% accurate but at least its flush with the wing! One down, one to go.. Now it's time to start cleaning up the seams and rescribing the panel lines if need be. Looking good so far! I started the Eduards offering(cockpit completed)a bit ago but placed it on the back burner to finish off my A-4 build. How is the overall build, any fit issues and where do you stand with it now? Happy Modeling, Mike

Howdy Wolf! Such a geat build thus far and what a way to celebrate the Marines birthday! Since you went into detailing this Scooter, I would have corrected the wing slats step. On the real deal, the leading edges step blended into the wing. As for the red anti collision/leading edge red paint, it looks good. Yes, out of the factory it was neat but once in the field and touched up, it looked sloppy! Haha I do have to agree with ghodges, I usually wait till the end to add the landing gear/gear doors. Hey Gil! First off, thank you! Correct, I needed to remove the molded on detail and I used an Xacto stencil blade which is used for scraping and removing detail. I opted out of using the kits horizontal stabilizers because with the resin stabs, the ailerons are separate. With that being said, I have the control stick in a slightly pushed forward (down position) so the ailerons will be deflected in a down position. Happy Friday all, Figured I'd dive back into another WWII wingy thing and I decided on Hasegawa’s P-39N. The end goal is, that this all NMF Cobra will represent a training ship based out of Ephrata, Washington's training field. This field saw a alot of aircraft from heavies to fighters and sadly, just my luck, this unit is unknown . The following aftermarket goodies will be used.. Combat Series(formerly BlackBox) interior, Eduard Brassin wheel set and CMKs exterior set(exhaust and hor stabs only). This is where I'm at.. Happy Modeling, Mike

Thank you so much Gil for the kind words and you are most welcome! After doing some research, this particular aircraft had a lot of touch ups n what not. Originally, the Bort number was 24 and at some unknown time, it was changed to 27. This was definitely challenging scheme but really like the outcome! Greetings all, I can finally say that my aggressor Super Fox scooter is finally done and boy, am I glad! This airframe represents a jet from VF-126 "Bandits" cica 1991. Here's what I put into this build: Aires cockpit (PITA), Eduards Brassin wheels, Phase Hanger Super Fox intakes and an A-4M burnercan donated by a fellow modeling bud!(Thank you). This scheme is a mix of hardline and soft edge camo which is seen on the real A-4. Overall pleased but there are a few things I'd do differently next time then this was an off and on again build over 3 1/2 years lol so.
