Hi folks i am looking for any good shops in or near Saint Louis MO, [aside from my ultamate faverite shop Located in the South city area. lol] I am intersted in Aircraft in 1/144 1/72 and 1/48. plus any Movie and SCI FI related items. and one sixth scale milatary figures. Kev, while i am at it i would also like to meet folk down there. as i will be attending a show there in a few weeks also and i would like to at least have talked to some of the members down that way.

hi folks is there a person here who might happen to have a set of Exhaust nozzels. for a revell or any other space shuttle that i could buy. i am working on a scratchbuild and need two of them. dont wanna say what just yet, but its going to be for the next years national con. will gladly buy , but prefer trade for items needed. and i dont happen to have a shutle that scale to steal them from. thanks guys. I have that kit. [renwal] thought it was kinda cool. when i got it better yet, how i got it. i thought of building this little beasty . but thought it better to hang on to it for a cash cow later. i also got the Nike missle set along with it . that kit is for sale though as i have 2 of them. What scale is the new kit thats academy put out. or is this a repop of this same kit ? Kev,

Wowsers guys. I just came onto a kit I had only ever seen pics of. Old Aroura Dempsy vs Firpo Model kit. this looks to be a pretty cool kit with both fighters and a ref . the base looks like a portion of a boxing ring . I am not a Boxing kinda Guy, but this kit is pretty dang cool yes i would like to sell it so i can get more kits that i will never have time to build lol need to do some more research on this kit . can some of you guys help me out maybe ? Hey gang . I am looking for instructions from the 1st issue of the Revell Moon lander. the instructions do not have to be from that kit. but any of the re-releases would do. would like to build this kit i have can one of you fellow members help out here. thanks kevin

Another Idea here would be to do as i have done. I bought some pipe screen from a local Tobacco shop. and cut it to fit flush inside the nose. killed a few screen trying to get it right. lol panted it all a flat black . the results were amazing. If you can find it . there is a nice shot of the Viper studio model out there on the web that if you look close you can see the screen inside. real nice kit there buddy.thanks for sharing it

hi sir, i am wanting to apologize for my slow reply to you. you had asked me some time ago to help with the project with pics of all my heller kits. I would love to but 1st i will need to get my cam working or figure out some method to get those pics to you. also have a lot of 1st edition Airfix in the lot as well. I haven't been too active as of late with the loos of my father and helping my fam . plus other concerns that took precedence but will get back on track shortly thanks all. kevin

Hey folks Kev here . i could use many good thoughts and prayers for me and my family last week my Father past away . Eddie Carroll was a man that any who knew would have to say was one of the finest men they met. pop as we called him was a member of the greatest generation and a loving father. a proud WW11 VET and loved bowling. and his family He bought me my 1st model kit . and though didn't understand my love of this hobby never ever told me i a negative thing about my doing this. he was very happy to see me out there doing the shows and making new friends he even slipped me a few bucks so i could pick up a few extras this last Omacon. and last summer when i went home to see him . He bought me a kit at the store we had gone into. and i am 45 years old. Man i had not felt like a kid in years until he did that. LOL I will miss you pop. and thanks guys for all the good thoughts. I have 2 kits of this . one is open with two of the figures missing[otherwise complete one is still sealed in that old aurora style [lol] any how if there is one here who can help me price this kit. please help. thanks. Believe it or not, i have used Fingernail polish remover. and or diluted acitone. [however you have to dilute the acitone a lot. and be sure you do not get any on plastic parts.] use a cloth with the remover on it. just dampening the cloth a little to go over the desired locations and graphics it will take the cover paint graphics off while the base coat remains intact. just go over the body with a wet piece of paper towel. and work it til you see it start to desolve. then keep going until you have wiped away all the graphics. then you can also take off the body paint with soaking the body in brake fluid, let it soak for a few days with all plastic parts removed. then go over the kit with a soft brush until you have nothing but bare metal showing . hope this will help.
