Kjundude1 Posted March 14, 2012 Report Posted March 14, 2012 I just completed the bust That the Atlanta Club was selling. It is painted with Vallejo. Comments always welcome. Chris F.
WildBill50 Posted March 14, 2012 Report Posted March 14, 2012 I like it. Even though he's "nothin' but a one-eyed fat man". Now you need to find Ned Pepper. Great job. Bill
sumterIII Posted March 19, 2012 Report Posted March 19, 2012 Nice work! Any tips on using Vallejo paint over oil or acrylic? I am not happy with the latter two paints used on resin, they tend to rub off unless I seal with a heavy coat of laq clear coat.
Kjundude1 Posted March 20, 2012 Author Report Posted March 20, 2012 Thanks Arthur. Vallejo paints are acrylics. I agree with you about rubbing off. The key is to use a sealer like dullcoat, and don't touch the figure once completed. Handle by the base only.
MikeMoore Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 Hey Chris, as usual, that looks really nice! I really like the beat up hat and the beard. And I'd agree with you, Vallejo is a pretty delicate paint. Besides minimum contact, the other key to Vallejo seems to be a good primer. Mike
Kjundude1 Posted March 22, 2012 Author Report Posted March 22, 2012 Thanks Mike. I agree about the primer.
