Guest Bun E. Carlos Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 Has anyone built the MC202??? Picked it up at O'Hare and looks cool............saw a lot of them on the vendor tables too.
rossjr Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 I have one I have not built yet, my Father has the 205 and another kit he built. They are not bad kits but you do have to watch what kind of glue you use on them. That and they have keyed covers for the screws and little putty work that goes with it. I am also told the decals are a little thick but will lay down nice with setting solution. Enjoy!
ghodges Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 I've seen a lot of them built up on forums and most people were happy with them, even the rivet counters. Although they need some refining, detailing, and finishing work; you can't beat them for the price! GIL
Weedeater Posted November 17, 2009 Report Posted November 17, 2009 (edited) One of our club members Tim W. brought in this beauty to our April 09 meeting. He built it OOTB and loved it. And I might add that this example was stunning! Most folks walking up to look at it didn't know it is 21st Century and found it hard to believe. IMHO, these kits are the "Sleepers" of 2009. (Their quality/detail sneak up on ya when ya thought they were just plain ole basic kits). Enjoy. Edited November 17, 2009 by Weedeater
