JBModelZone Posted September 24, 2025 Report Posted September 24, 2025 (edited) The “nothing special” run-of-the-mill simple Tamiya Wildcat. This was my first attempt at multi-layered chipping which is a 9 step process (or at least my method is). MODERATOR: Oops. Please feel free to move this to the sub forum “Builds” forum. Didn’t notice the sub forum until after posting this. Edited September 24, 2025 by JBModelZone 1
ghodges Posted September 24, 2025 Report Posted September 24, 2025 Wonderful looking Wildcat! The weathering looks as if it would be right at home on Henderson field on Guadalcanal. And your post is right where it should be.... the "builds" section is really more for works in progress while this section is more for completed builds. Thanks for sharing! Gil

VMF211 Posted September 25, 2025 Report Posted September 25, 2025 THAT is nice!! Great job!!! The Tamiya kit, after all these years, is still a pretty nice kit.
JBModelZone Posted October 2, 2025 Author Report Posted October 2, 2025 Thank you sir! First aircraft build I did in 40+ years so it was a bit of a science experiment.
