Blackening liquid

For anyone who wants to blacken brass and/or bronze parts, the demise of the product "Blacken it" caused a hectic search to find a replacement. I've seen all sorts of other things used, some useless and others dangerous, but I found this on the internet and it works great and a little goes a long way.

I tried the AK Intreactive Brass Photoetch Burnishing liquid and was very disappointed in it's performance. It seemed to leave a black crust on the brass that chipped off, leaving exposed brass. I've been using Birchwood Casey products for many years on my black powder firearms. I should have stuck with them!! Thanks for passing along something that works!!
