steelheader Posted July 9, 2015 Report Posted July 9, 2015 Does anyone make a 1/48th scale sheet of WW II Nationalist Chinese insignia? I have a set of AVG decals that have more shark mouths than insignia. I checked all the decal manufacturers listed on the Flightdec's site, but came up empty handed. Any help offered will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
ghodges Posted July 9, 2015 Report Posted July 9, 2015 I'm not aware of any dedicated sheets for Nationalist Chinese stars, but there are other, older aftermarket AVG decal sheets, as well as decal sheets in the old Monogram P-40B, as well as the other 1/48 P-40B kits. When you checked that site, did you see MicroScale and/or Aeromaster decals listed? Many of those are out of production and would not be listed in "current" decal stocks. You may need to hit several of the modeling sites and put out an ad on their buy/sell area asking who can spare those Chinese stars, if you can't buy them outright. Hope this helps! GIL
steelheader Posted July 10, 2015 Author Report Posted July 10, 2015 Thanks for the response. I did check MicroScale and Aeromaster and struck out. I plan to be at the Nationals and will plan on digging through the various piles of decals sheets. I appreciate your help.
