I am building a revell 1:48 scale spitfire mk-ix and cant seem to figure out what color to paint the bottom of the aircraft. Id also prefer it to be acrylic and model master.

Z: Most RAF Spitfires had Medium Sea Gray painted on the undersides. I see no problem with Testors Model Master Acrylic paints either. You shouldn't have any problems. Best,

Zach,

I use a LOT of Model Master paints. I tend to use distilled water to thin them and have no issues what so ever. Good paint.

Thanks for replying but model master only has light sea grey wouild that work.

Zach: At this point, (if you prefer),try experimentation by mixing some darker shades of acrylic gray, if you can, with an RAF reference color chip , to match Medium Sea Gray. If not, see if you can find that color if offered by other manufacturers. Best,
