TimHortman Posted March 14, 2009 Report Posted March 14, 2009 Hey gang, Hortman FINALLY finishes a model! All kidding aside, this is a many many multi-year project that is finally done. I'm making the time to take care of and finish up some of the dozens of projects I have started here. I'll post more as I get them done. I am trying to get one done a weekend. Tamiya 1/35 M1A1 (first release) built OOB. Painted with Model Master Acryl "US Army/Marines Gulf" tan with some weathering. Probably not a contest winner, but it can now move from the pile to the display case! Cheers! Tim
TimHortman Posted March 15, 2009 Author Report Posted March 15, 2009 Thanks Jesse, It feels good to actually get something done for a change!
TimHortman Posted March 15, 2009 Author Report Posted March 15, 2009 Thanks Dick! I think this was started even before I was RC2 (to give you an idea how long it's been in the languishing in the "pile") Overall I am pleased with how it came out, but I am even happier that I actually finished something.
Guest Bun E. Carlos Posted March 15, 2009 Report Posted March 15, 2009 Timmy................YOU SUCK :) (Nice job, Baby!!!!!!!) We gotta get you enthused more often!!!!! Going to Pittsburgh??????
TimHortman Posted March 15, 2009 Author Report Posted March 15, 2009 Thanks Jack - a kind word as always. Doubt I will get to Pittsburgh - it's a haul and I don't have a ton of $$ these days. You are correct - I DO need to get motivated to get some more of these things done!
Dreamsof51 Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 Looks darn good to me. With you on backup of projects. I think I'm up to 8 or 9 now. Keep posting, its a motivator for the rest of us. Chris
GHonanie Posted March 17, 2009 Report Posted March 17, 2009 Yup, got mine sitting on my workbench 1/3 done, think now I'll finish it. Keep up the good work!
TimHortman Posted March 17, 2009 Author Report Posted March 17, 2009 Thanks Chris, Gilbert! I counted my "in-progress" kits a year or so ago, and came up with over 50 (I actually stopped counting at that point!) It's NICE to end up getting a few off the pile and finally wrapped up. Plus as a bonus - I'll have something to take to the contests I attend every year where I usually show up empty handed.
