  1. Willys's finish .... Cannon 45 mm ... started ... A small milestone ... :-) ... and we are waiting for ... :-)
  2. So ... after a few weeks, I've found free time for Harrier ... And fuselage is closed ... :-)
  3. Mark, I've prepared historical description, but in my native language. On the private website are attached projects with models photos and maps as a visualisation historical event. I'm not modeller focused only on the technology. In the case technology is way to build model kits into interested historical project. The root is history, and historical sources. Everybady has individual way in hobby ... :-)
  4. :-) ... It'll be in Indian Navy colours ... :-)

  6. Operation Torch Main plan Fleet Air Arm Fairey Fulmar Mk.II , 809 Sqn FAA / HMS Victorius. Mainly reconnaissance duties over Algeria (Oran and Algier). Kit : SMER / 1:72 US NAVY F4F-4 Wildcat, VF-9 / USS Ranger. Duties over French Morocco. Attacks on airfields: Rabat, Sale, Mediouna. Air fights with GC I/5. Kit : Hobby Boss / 1:72
  7. In period 1941 - june 1942 Soryu and Hiryu were in 2nd Carrier Division. Planes from Soryu had one blue band around tail, and Hiryu's planes two blue bands around tail. Japanese sources shows the band not closed and finished on the lower fuselage panel lines, with "window" for table with producer's serial number. Letters code on the tail: Soryu - red "BI - ", Hiryu - red "BII - " Sources: "Japanese Naval Forces and Fighter Units in WWII" - I.Hata, Y.Izawa "Japanese Naval Air Force Camouflage and Markings WW II" - Donald W.Thorpe "Camouflage & Markings of the I.J.N.Fighters" - Model Art
  8. Hi, I'm looking for Arawasi Magazine Issue no.1. Now is sold out ... In that Issue is a one article abount Japanese planes in Netherlands. If somebody has the issue (only for viewing - not for selling) pls contact with me. Thanks, in advance Pawel
  9. This week I've finished fuselage, and engine. Tail was painted white enamel - as a base colour for decals with white and red stripes.
  10. This week was small work with fuselage and wings. Kit is simple but before final mountage wings needed a small correction in connection points with fuselage.
  11. First model this year ... but it is :-) Wildcat F4F-4 Hobby Boss 1/72. Engine basic painting.
  12. This is pre-war German grey with hinomaru. The model is a trial of reconstruction from Japanese diplomate's photo. It was probably corrected photo and it was a gift for that diplomate in Berlin. We have only information about selling He 112 to Japan, and that "post card" from japanese embassy in Berlin. The planes were bought in the same reason as Seversky fighter - to protect japanese airfields in China against fast russian/chinese bombers Tupolev SB-2. Many russian sources confirm that facts.
  13. Next "german samurai" ... Heinkel He 112B-1 ... earlier plane sold to Japan - before Bf-109.
  14. Yes, that's true. Ju87 was in early camouflage. And they bought 2 planes with. One of them was in hangar in 1945. Fw-190 A-5 was in early version. It was compared in mockup fights with captured P-51. Many facts are in japanese sources. I.e. I found japanese documentation from construction analyses Bf-109. Tachikawa Test Center JAAF has many secrets. :-)
  15. That's a first model in small collection - non-Japan planes with Hinomaru ... :-) There is very interesting object from historical point of view.
  16. Thanks Guys :-) Details about P-47D are available under link. Photos were taken by classic 35mm film camera without macro lenses.
  17. My very very old model ... Yakovlev Yak-1b, Normandie - Niemen, Lt. Albert Marcel, Heller 1/72 Paper model, P-47 D, Cpt. Boleslaw Gladych, Mały Modelarz 1:33 N1K2-J Shiden Kai, Cpt. Naoshi Kanno, Hasegawa 1:72 F4U-1 Corsair, Lt. Ira C. Kepford, Heller 1:72
  18. Good job ! The model is fine ! I didn't think Airfix will have that accuracy ...
  19. There are kits with pre painted parts, or from coloured plastic. For modeller is only assembling and decals ... one model per hour ... :-) The problem is with finding the kit ... I looked for Citroen about 4 months ... most popular are the newest types cars or motor bikes. Photos from assembling : http://www.shinden.org/modele/gallery/c2/index.php?position=0.3.14&dlevel=2
  20. Mercedes Benz SSK Mercedes Benz SSK Citroen 15CV TA Jaguar XK 120 Roadster Ferrari 250 LM Sebring
