TimHortman Posted September 21, 2010 Report Posted September 21, 2010 All, I am toying with the idea of trying to get a Fiat Br.20 done before the end of the year. I just picked up a cheap Italeri 1/72 kit at the PennCon show, and it looks like something I can do without too much fuss. Looking things over, I have a question about the interior color that I cannot find an answer to. All of my reference material on the subject is black and white photos, with the text in Italian (no help.) The Classic Airframes kit calls for interior green (which I assume is close to the US interior green, but there is no FS number I can find.) The Italeri kit directions call for light grey. Anyone know which is correct - green or grey? Does the current research show an FS number match that may be close? Thanks for your time! Tim
mquan Posted September 21, 2010 Report Posted September 21, 2010 Hi Tim. Ali d'Italia #26 on the BR20M has a color painting of the cockpit showing a rather 'bright' interior green color. It is actually close to US interior green, and sort of like British interior gray-green only more green and less gray. It is a tad less green than US "apple" green for the interior. No FS # or reference to Munsell or the like is provided in the illustration or caption. HTH, Mike
TimHortman Posted September 21, 2010 Author Report Posted September 21, 2010 Hi Mike! That helps a TON - Thank you! I'll pick a green that is close, as you won't likely see much when I'm done. You can guess what scheme I am planning to do with this one... :) AND it's great to hear from you. I haven't run into you at a show in too long. I hope everything is well with you. Thanks again! Tim
