Ron Bell Posted February 9, 2025 Report Posted February 9, 2025 (edited) I like to do these locomotive kits as a break from my normal "stuff". This is the Airfix 2-6-0 Mogul kit. It's OOTB with the exception of the handrail on the engine. However, eliminating that seam that runs down the top of the engine would test the patience of Job and getting that drive linkage in place is also a treat. The decals that came with the kit were useless, so since I had some gold lettering decals, I opted for a London-Midlands-Scotland (I had to look up what LMS meant) livery, which worked out well as most of my other engines were various shades of BritRail greens. The red looks much brighter in the photos than it is in real life. Oh, I also added some Woodland Scenics "coal" to the tender as the kit stuff just looked too fake. Now, I'm not a RR guy, so please keep that in mind as you wonder why I did/didn't do such and such. Edited February 9, 2025 by Ron Bell
