schooner Posted December 8, 2016 Report Posted December 8, 2016 Hi Guys (Newbie Here) Hey Pete J. on your suggestion, I just bought that Zap Formula 560. you recommended on Amazon. Thanks again Pete for helping me thru my beginner stage(s) Just starting now little by little taking apart the P-51 parts with razor blade or small wire cutters and cleaning up the nubs that are left on the part. I still remain your student :smiley2:
schooner Posted December 16, 2016 Author Report Posted December 16, 2016 Hi Pete (Guess Who ? ) . . .lol Pete can you tell me please what paint do you use mostly for you modeling? And what do you think of Com - Art Paint ? Happy Holidays to you and yours GOD BLESS
PeteJ Posted December 16, 2016 Report Posted December 16, 2016 I have a strong preference for acrylic lacquers. They go through an airbrush very nicely and cure very quickly. They can be a little touchy when it comes to temperature and humidity though, so experience with them is often gained the hard way. Through mistakes! I also use some water based acrlyics for special bits, especially if I am brushing it on. My preferred brands are DuPont(which I have a good stock of and which you can't buy any more in SoCal), Tamiya and Valejo.
