John Walker
Does anyone make a model of the Anchor Lines SS Transylvania launced in Glascow in 1925? She was later the HMS Transylvania (F56) sunk by U-56 in WWII. If no model, are there any plans of this ship?
Guest PetrolGator
I found one in 1/1250 scale for you. http://www.collectableships.com/models/Albatros.htm See Albatros AL-53 Picture of the completed model: http://bob.plord.net/Ships/MS-3/GreatBritain/Transylvania.html
John Walker
Thanks Gator, that's the one, but I was hoping for something in a bit larger scale. This model would be about 4 1/2" long. Perhaps I might get this one and see if I can scale it up from scratch. I am basically an armor modeler, but the reason that I want to model this particular ship is that it was the one that brought my dad to the US from Belfast, sailed into Boston Harbor on 11/8/26. Anyone know of any scale plans for this ship?
