dmorrissette Posted May 7, 2014 Report Posted May 7, 2014 Hi Gents: Received the following from a decal maker and could use some help "Decided to drop an e-mail for each person, who possibly could help with some reference material. Spread it out when You got some "reference-master" contacts. Finishing my P-47 shapes I was searching for sharp photo of Hamilton Standart propeler stencilling. It could be clearly seen on many photos - my best examples attached. Original WWII HS stenciling is different that Custiss Electric ones, and tottaly different than what was applied on planes restored after war ended and nowadays. Tamiya did it as 104 decal on their D-model "B'top" decal sheet, but it is not readable and moreover: yellow (...while what I see, should be white - ?). What is possible to read on photos I got is only "low pitch / high pitch" - two lines. Could anyone please, e-mail me back with photos or drawings clearly confirming what was the exact whole text of HS propeller stenciling?" If you can help, it would be greatly appreciated You can e-mail me at dcmorrissette@roadrunner.com Dave
