A 35-year veteran of IT operations, I currently work as an IT Director, managing IT Business Processes, Asset Management, and Process Improvement. I've been employed by the same company for the last 15 years, and if all goes will will retire there.
My modeling interests lean heavily towards automotive subjects; sports racing, formula 1, Indy, etc. I also enjoy WWII aircraft, specifically the Pacific theater in 1/48 scale. I've also developed an interest in ships, mostly historic subjects, preferably pre-war. I have several 'Great White Fleet' models waiting in the wings.
I was the Contest Chairman for the 2012 National Convention held at Walt Disney World in Florida, and am still active in the hosting club, IPMS Pelikan Model Club in Clearwater, Florida. I have served as both club President and Webmaster (www.pelikanclub.org).
Outside of scale models I enjoy vintage racing and concours, photography, travel, and writing. I'm currently working on a couple books on vintage automobiles and travel. It's nice to be able to merge hobbies.
