  1. A link to the map and vendor key are available here which will be updated at least one more time before the show, but the URL should stay the same
  2. For attendees wanting to purchase the remaining tickets for Tours, and the VERY limited number of banquet tickets that are available, the only location to purchase them at the convention will be at the WALK-IN Registration area. (Selling of tour and banquet tickets between members can still occur on the ‘Dry-Erase Board’ near registration) This includes attendees who have already pre-registered and are looking to add more items to their registration. The Pre-Registration check-in line will only be able to provide the items that were purchased on-line during pre-registration and will not be able to perform any financial transactions there. If you want to add items to an existing registration, you will have to visit both lines. Additional promotional items such as T-Shirts, Mugs, Stickers, Convention Pins, etc., will be available for purchase at the raffle table in the vendor room while supplies last. If you are pre-registered, and did not add the information for your up-to 4 close family guests when you pre-registered, you will be given slips to take to the badge printing area to have their badge(s) created there. Any corrections required for pre-printed badges will also need to be made at the badge printing area. Line Etiquette: To make the check-in and registration process as smooth as possible we ask that you follow these directions: 1) Make sure you’re in the correct line – There are 2 separate registration areas in the main hallway. One is for pre-registration pickup and the other is for Walk-In registration. We will have a line monitor that can help you determine if you are in the correct line – just ask them before waiting in line. 2) Please be nice – We are volunteers, here to do our best to make your convention a great experience, but sometimes mistakes happen. We will do our best to fix any issues. Please be patient and respectful as we resolve any discrepancies. We will go through the contents of your registration bag with you to ensure you have all the correct items, no changes can be made once you have left the registration tables. 3) Please be ‘Quiet’ – We get it, this is your chance to see fellow modelers from around the country and the world that maybe you see only once a year, and there’s a lot to catch up on. All we ask is that when you’re in line that you keep your conversations to a reasonable volume. This helps our volunteers hear the person they’re working with better, and that makes everything go faster, and makes your time in line shorter. 4) Have ID ready – This doesn’t need to be a driver’s license or a passport, but just something with your legible printed name so we can see how it’s spelled and find it in the registration system quickly. This is a tremendous help to us, especially if people aren’t following rule #3, and we can’t hear you well. 5) Be a Member – If you haven’t pre-registered for the convention, and aren’t a current IPMS/USA member and plan on entering the contest, take the time in this last week or so before the show to become a member online at www.myipmsusa.org and remove one step from the process that will have to occur at Walk-in registration. 6) Registering your models is not registering for the convention – Get your models registered at www.myscalecollection.com, but understand that to enter the contest you still have to be registered for the convention. 7) Have fun and enjoy seeing your fellow modelers at the show!
  3. The form is intended to be 8.5x11 before being cut in half, and you can put a 'brag book' to better describe the work put in to the model on the table, but to my knowledge its excepted to not be larger than a standard binder, and mostly just be mindful of amount of space it takes
  4. LAST DAY TO PRE-REGISTER. Pre registration closes at 11:59:59 eastern Monday June 30th!!!!
  5. There are only 5 days left to pre-register for the 2025 IPMSUSA National Convention Some tips for people pre-registering from your registrar If you're in the US make sure you're a member of IPMSUSA and that your membership is up to date before registering. If you are not a member, or you are lapsed in membership some options when you register will be grayed out. Only choose the International IPMS Member option if you are actually a member of a different national IPMS organization and can provide a number from that organization. The Vendor option is only for vendors who are also members, and those registrations will be checked against the vendor list. We had to split the registration into 2 'events' this year, one for the convention registration as a whole, and one for tours. To go on a tour you need to be registered for the convention overall first, so make sure you choose the event called 2025 IPMS/USA National Convention which should be the top option on this page https://myipmsusa.org/events to fill out first, then do the tours registration second. If you don't plan on doing a tour, you only need to register for the top event. If you have already registered and need to change something let me know at reg.ipmsnats2025@gmail.com If you want to do a proxy entry so a friend can enter your models for you, please let me know who will be picking up your registration packet so we make sure it goes to the correct person. We will not give a registration packet to someone other than the registered member unless we have been previously informed of who is authorized to pick it up
  6. Model Registration opened today Model registration
  7. Here's a distribution of US attendees for 2014 in Hampton. The dots are individual registrants by zipcode, with the states shaded by total registrants per state. I could do another for current members, but I'd have to get Bruce or MJ to send me a new database as the latest one I have was from the end of our show.
  8. The 2014 National Convention Packets for Pre-Registrations ordered on or before June 1 2014 were mailed to our pre-registered guests on June 30, 2014. The packets include your registration name tag and the tickets you purchased for the convention events. For our overseas pre-registrants, you will receive an e-mail version of your registration package shortly to ensure receipt of your materials. We will also maintain a printed version of your package at the will-call registration desk as a back-up. Please note that any additional ticket items purchased by you after June 12, 2014 will not be mailed, but they will be available for pick up at the convention registration will-call desk. If you do not receive your pre-registration packet by July, 11, 2014, please contact me at Registration@IPMSUSA2014.com, so we can make sure a new set is printed and mailed out. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at this address. Thank you for pre-registering, and we look forward to hosting you at the Hampton Roads Convention Center. We wish you safe travels and hope you enjoy the show. Regards – Jared Jared Nuss 2014 IPMS Convention Committee Registration Chair
  9. Steve, I can confirm that we got your registration. 50th Anniversary items are mailed separately from Convention Registration Items (for orders before June 1) If any one else has questions about their registration, email me at registration@ipmsusa2014.com
  10. Registrations purchased before June 1 will have their packets mailed out Friday. I will have a full write-up then Jared Nuss IPMS/USA 2014 National Convention Registration Chair
  11. Make sure to look into Newport News/Williamsburg (PHF) too, its actually the closest airport to the show, but it is a smaller airport than Richmond or Norfolk so selection and price may be limited. Also if you're from the Boston, New York (Newark) or Pittsburgh area , and Atlanta(starts Aug 1), a new airline is coming to PHF at the end of June. http://www.flypex.com/
  12. Yes we will be mailing out registration packets with your Name Badge any other event tickets you purchase On or Before June 1st 2014. That way you don't have to stand in line when you arrive, plus you save $5 for the vendor room. You can then pick up your registration "goody bag" when ever you want at a specific pre-registration pickup table. We do not plan to mail the pre-registration packets out until just after Pre-Registration closes on June 1st. That way we can do all of them in one fell swoop. If you feel the need to double check that we have received your registration email me at Registration@IPMSUSA2014.com and I will let you know. Jared Nuss IPMS/USA 2014 National Convention Reg. Coordinator
  13. Registration is Now OPEN!!!! http://www.ipmsusa2.org/store/nats_2014.html http://www.ipmsusa2014.com/registration.htm Told you it was coming soon... And Contest Information should be coming quickly on its heels. Jared Nuss 2014 National Conference Contest Chair
  14. I can't give a specific answer as we don't know yet exactly when the Conference Registration will be available on the Website, but I can tell you we are getting real close. But as Ralph said expect a lot of info to start coming out real soon. And as far as Facebook is concerned, its really only going to be used as a "Hey there's something new on the IPMSUSA2014.com website, click here to see it" sort of thing. There is not anything you will miss by not going to the Facebook site. Jared Nuss 2014 National Conference Contest Chair
  15. As an FYI there was 14,400 sqft of contest space in Colorado, 15,000~16,500 sqft in Orlando.... and there is 27,360 sqft in 2014 in Hampton We should have preliminary floor plans on the website soon
