JohnRatzenberger Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 The A-24 (USAAF version of the SBD Dauntless) and A-25 (USAAF version of the SB2C Helldiver) were used as stateside target tow aircraft, in particular by WASPs flying in support of the Anti-Aircraft training base at Camp Davis, NC. I am looking for any images or information about how the targets were deployed and retrieved. The few images I have found show the aircraft and the sleeve, but aren't clear enough to see the cable, winch gear, pulleys, etc. Thanks,
JohnRatzenberger Posted June 23, 2012 Author Report Posted June 23, 2012 I changed the topc a bit to also ask about any shots of T-6 Texan target Tow gear -- it would be essentially the same and work ofr my purposes.
